Itinerary

Your journey begins as you land in the heart of India, Delhi. Our representative greets you at the airport and transfers you to your pre-booked hotel. After a smooth check-in, relax from your flight and soak in the first impressions of this bustling capital. Delhi offers a unique mix of ancient charm and modern pace — domed monuments stand alongside glittering malls and wide boulevards.

In the evening, enjoy a leisurely drive through India Gate, President’s House, and Connaught Place, the city’s colonial-era center still glowing with life. You can stop for a traditional dinner at a renowned Indian restaurant and end your day adjusting to the city’s rhythm. Overnight stay in Delhi.

After breakfast, begin exploring Delhi’s heritage and culture. Visit Jama Masjid, one of India’s largest mosques, then ride a rickshaw through the vibrant lanes of Chandni Chowk, where spice markets and sweet shops fill the air with aroma. Stop at Raj Ghat, Gandhi’s memorial, set in peaceful gardens along the Yamuna River.

In the afternoon, head to Humayun’s Tomb, an early Mughal masterpiece, and Qutub Minar, Delhi’s tallest minaret and UNESCO site. Drive past the Parliament House and India Gate, followed by some shopping at Janpath or Dilli Haat for local crafts. Evening free for rest. Overnight stay in Delhi.

Leave Delhi after breakfast for Rishikesh, the serene spiritual capital of India nestled at the foothills of the Himalayas. The drive is scenic, crossing sugarcane fields and small towns before the Ganges River greets you with its crystal flow. Check in to your riverside hotel or yoga retreat upon arrival.

As the sun sets, head to Triveni Ghat to witness the divine Ganga Aarti. The chants, ringing bells, and floating lamps create a magical atmosphere that reflects India’s deep spirituality. Spend the evening strolling along the river or at one of the peaceful cafés overlooking the Ganges. Overnight stay in Rishikesh.

Begin your morning with a calming yoga session on the riverbank, followed by breakfast. Today’s sightseeing includes visits to Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula, two suspension bridges offering stunning views of the Ganges. Explore famous ashrams such as Parmarth Niketan and Sivananda Ashram, where spirituality meets simplicity.

In the afternoon, visit Neer Garh Waterfall, hidden amidst lush greenery. Those seeking adventure can enjoy a short session of white-water rafting (seasonal). Evening free for meditation or visiting local bazaars selling prayer beads, rudraksha, and organic products. Overnight stay in Rishikesh.

After breakfast, drive to Mussoorie, the “Queen of the Hills,” surrounded by misty peaks and dense forests. The journey winds through mountain roads offering splendid views of the Doon Valley. Check in at your hillside resort and relax amidst the cool Himalayan breeze.

Spend your evening walking along Mall Road, the heart of Mussoorie, lined with cafés, bakeries, and colonial-style shops. Capture panoramic views of the sunset from Gun Hill Point or simply sip hot chocolate overlooking the valleys. Overnight stay in Mussoorie.

After breakfast, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Mussoorie’s highlights. Visit the scenic Kempty Falls, where water cascades through hills into natural pools perfect for photos. Continue to Company Garden, a beautifully landscaped park with floral displays and boating.

In the afternoon, drive to Lal Tibba, the highest point in Mussoorie, for panoramic Himalayan views. Stroll through Camel’s Back Road, named after its rock formation, and later explore Landour Bazaar for antiques and local crafts. Evening free to relax or enjoy live music at a hill café. Overnight stay in Mussoorie.

After breakfast, drive downhill toward the lush plains of Jim Corbett National Park, India’s oldest wildlife sanctuary and a paradise for nature lovers. The route offers a beautiful transition from cool mountain mist to warm sal forests and river valleys. Check into your jungle lodge or eco-resort on arrival, surrounded by the sounds of birds and rustling leaves.

Spend your evening at leisure, exploring nearby tribal villages or relaxing by the Kosi River. You may join a short guided walk around the property to spot early wildlife activity. Later, enjoy a bonfire dinner with folk songs or jungle tales under the starlit sky. Overnight stay in Corbett.

Wake up early for an adventurous jeep safari into the wild heart of Corbett National Park, where nature reigns supreme. The park, home to Bengal tigers, elephants, deer, and hundreds of bird species, offers thrilling encounters with the wilderness. Your expert naturalist guide will help you track animals and understand their habitats.

Return to the resort for breakfast and some rest. In the afternoon, visit the Corbett Museum, located in the former home of Jim Corbett himself, and the Garjia Devi Temple, perched on a rock in the middle of the Kosi River. Evening free to relax or take an optional second safari. Overnight stay in Corbett.

After breakfast, drive to Nainital, the picturesque lake town nestled in the Kumaon hills. The drive passes through pine forests and charming mountain villages. Upon arrival, check into your lakeside hotel and rest for a while, enjoying the crisp mountain air.

Later, stroll along Mall Road, lined with colonial-era buildings, cafés, and boutique stores. Enjoy a peaceful boat ride on Naini Lake, reflecting the surrounding hills, or simply sit by the promenade watching the lights shimmer on the water. Overnight stay in Nainital.

After breakfast, start exploring the many viewpoints and attractions of Nainital. Visit the sacred Naina Devi Temple overlooking the lake, followed by Snow View Point, offering stunning Himalayan panoramas reached by cable car. Continue to Tiffin Top and Eco Cave Gardens, a series of natural caves and walkways perfect for photography.

In the afternoon, you can visit nearby lakes like Bhimtal, Naukuchiatal, or Sattal, each surrounded by forests and serenity. Return by evening to shop for woollen clothes, candles, and handicrafts at the Tibetan Market. Overnight stay in Nainital.

Enjoy breakfast with a mountain view before departing for Delhi. The scenic journey winds down from the Kumaon hills into the plains, passing fields and local hamlets. Stop midway at a countryside café for lunch or chai.

Arrive in Delhi by evening and check into your hotel. The rest of the evening is at leisure for relaxation or some last-minute shopping at Connaught Place or Khan Market. Overnight stay in Delhi.

After breakfast, transfer to Delhi International Airport for your onward flight.

As you depart, carry the calm of Rishikesh, the cool breeze of Mussoorie, the roars of Corbett, and the reflections of Nainital’s lake — memories that make this journey truly “Picture Perfect.”

A tour of South India
We are recently back from a fine 10 day tour of South India – Goa, Kochi, the Kerala backwaters, a spice farm in the Western Ghats, the Madurai temples, and last but not least the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai. All done with class, excellent drivers (especially Mr. Jai Ram in Kerala) and tour guides. Organized by Magan Singh, Heritage India Private Tours. Perhaps a bit pricey but highly recommended for those who have the resources to invest in a guaranteed high quality experience with no inconveniences/surprises. The hotels were fantastic, especially the Taj in Mumbai (the tour of the hotel was fascinating).  ...Read More

Sit back & enjoy- everything is well organised
We are back from another amazing tour organised by the ever reliable Magan Singh. This was our 4th trip with Magan and again he didn't disappoint. This time we had an incredible time travelling north & spending time around Leh. We also enjoyed some travel through Bahu, Dalhousie, Alsisar, Khandela and Patan. Again the hotel stays were excellent, the vehicle was reliable, comfortable and well maintained. Our conversations & learning were excellent. Nothing is too much trouble for Magan and he is a great host & promoter of Indian tourism  ...Read More

Wonderful experience, thank you Heritage India Private Tours!
We have just completed a 19 day trip - Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Pushkar, Udaipur, Narlai, Jodhpur, Mandawa - and it has been a wonderful experience. Magan was excellent helping us plan the right itinerary for a family of 3, including our 12 year old daughter. His communication was always timely. And then the experience itself has been wonderful. So much of the “real India” to learn about and was shared with us. Each destination was well organised, our hotels were beautiful and staff welcoming. Magan was flexible where we needed to alter along the way - we would discuss each days plans and he helped us find the right plans for that day. He was always available if we needed him. We will definitely be returning for another itinerary and experience as soon as we can. Thank you so much Magan!  ...Read More

Magic Magan
This was my first tour with Maganbhai but my family’s second tour with his company. We spent two weeks touring Himachal Pradesh and Maganbhai is a consummate professional. As we started our planning, kicked into action with very detailed and family specific questions so that he could tailor the tour to our individual and collective requirements. Maganbhai made some excellent and knowledgeable recommendations and at every location we were given a choice of quality heritage hotels to pick from. As we were travelling as a group, we were given a top range minibus and our driver, Sahil, was very professional and took great care, especially on mountain roads. During our carefully planned tour Maganbhai shared with us his incredible knowledge of each location and historical significance. At each destination, our hotel / guest in check in was very smooth and quick and our rooms were always ready. Throughout each day, Maganbhai was always available for any requirement we had and also to answer all questions. His priority throughout was to ensure that everyone had a fantastic time. Even after we finished our tour but remained in country Maganbhai generously offered to be available for all family members for any issues we might have. PHT is a top end tour company led by a highly professional tour operator, offering value for money. I wholeheartedly recommend using PHT for Maganbhai to fully cater for your next trip to India.  ...Read More

Fantastic 35 day trip in Rajastan and South India. Magan organised everything- great itinerary, amazing accomodation, excellent guides. Cars were brand new, very comfortable and expertly driven by Magan and Fateh. We felt more like valued friends than clients - Magan is passionate to showcase the “Real India”, and entertained us with jokes and stories along the way. Highlights included Tiger and leopard sightings in Kabini, romantic houseboat for two, dinner at Magans friends home, numerous stops for coconut, papaya, pineapple, guava, masala chai, lemon chai, masala dosa………We already plan to return (with friends) next year. Fantastic short trip in North India with group of friends
We had an amazing trip with Heritage India Private Tours, headed by Maghan! We were a group of 8 friends from Belgium going to Rishikesh for the wedding of a mutual friend. We only had 7 days to travel North India before the wedding festivities and Heritage Tours made sure that we could complete our busy itinerary carefree. Our driver Satnayaran was an excellent driver and a funny and helpful guide on our trip. He helped us with restaurant recommendations (the food court in Jaipur!!!), tips to travel safely and to buy local gifts, certainly in his hometown of Jaipur. We visited Jodpur, Pushkar (thank you to our local guide Manoj), Jaipur (with Rajesh Parasar as an excellent guide for the fort and old city center), and the Taj Mahal in Agra with Mohammed Tariq who took the besttttt instagram pictures. Finally, Maghan was available at every hour of the day to answer questions and to give us tips to navigate India.  ...Read More
