Itinerary

Your journey begins as you land in Delhi, the capital of India, where centuries of dynasties have left behind grand palaces, monuments, and colorful markets. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our representative at the airport and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Take time to relax after your flight and enjoy the comfort of your room. Delhi’s first impression is always unforgettable — a mix of tradition, modern life, and timeless character.
In the evening, you may choose to step out for a brief city drive passing India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan, and Connaught Place, where colonial charm meets modern buzz. Dinner can be arranged at a fine restaurant serving authentic North Indian cuisine. Overnight stay in Delhi.

After breakfast, set out to uncover Delhi’s historic and cultural landmarks. Begin in Old Delhi, where the grand Jama Masjid rises above narrow lanes filled with spice sellers and street vendors. Take a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, the heart of Mughal-era trade, and visit Raj Ghat, the serene memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. The sights and sounds of Old Delhi give you a vivid sense of India’s living history.
In the afternoon, move to New Delhi, known for its wide avenues and colonial architecture. Visit Qutub Minar, one of the tallest minarets in Asia, and Humayun’s Tomb, a graceful garden tomb that inspired the Taj Mahal’s design. Drive past India Gate, Parliament House, and Rashtrapati Bhavan, then return to your hotel after a full day of heritage and culture. Overnight stay in Delhi.

After breakfast, drive to Jaipur, the royal capital of Rajasthan, fondly called the Pink City for its rose-colored palaces and houses. The highway to Jaipur offers glimpses of rural India — farmers in the fields, roadside tea stalls, and colorful trucks on the road. Arrive and check in to your hotel, where you can relax or enjoy traditional Rajasthani tea in the courtyard.
In the evening, walk through Johari Bazaar or Bapu Bazaar, vibrant markets brimming with jewelry, hand-block prints, and pottery. Jaipur’s lively energy and welcoming atmosphere make even a simple stroll feel royal. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Today is dedicated to discovering the royal treasures of Jaipur. After breakfast, drive to Amber Fort, a majestic fortress located on a hill overlooking Maota Lake. Ride a jeep up to the gates and enter courtyards filled with marble carvings and mirror-inlaid chambers. Visit Sheesh Mahal, where candlelight once reflected across thousands of mirrors, creating a mesmerizing glow for royal gatherings.
Return to the city and visit City Palace, still home to the royal family, showcasing rich textiles, weapons, and royal costumes. Continue to Jantar Mantar, the astronomical observatory that reflects the scientific brilliance of medieval India. Capture photos at Hawa Mahal, the Palace of Winds, with its lattice façade designed for royal ladies. In the evening, enjoy a cultural dinner with folk dance and live music. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

After breakfast, depart for Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal. En route, stop at Fatehpur Sikri, a stunning red sandstone city built by Emperor Akbar and later abandoned due to water scarcity. Walk through Buland Darwaza, the towering gate of victory, and visit the Panch Mahal and Jama Masjid within its walls.
Continue your drive to Agra and check into your hotel upon arrival. In the evening, head to Mehtab Bagh, a Mughal garden across the Yamuna River, for a sunset view of the Taj Mahal shimmering in golden light. It’s the perfect preview before tomorrow’s sunrise visit. Overnight stay in Agra.

Rise early for a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal, one of the world’s greatest architectural wonders. Watch as the marble monument changes shades from pink to ivory under morning light — a breathtaking sight that defines romance and perfection. Return to your hotel for breakfast and relaxation.
Later, visit the imposing Agra Fort, built in the 16th century as the royal residence of Mughal emperors. Explore its courtyards, marble mosques, and halls adorned with fine carvings. If time permits, you can also visit Itimad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb (Baby Taj), a charming example of Persian-inspired artistry. Overnight stay in Agra.

After breakfast, drive back to Delhi Airport for your flight to Kathmandu, Nepal’s capital nestled in the Himalayas. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by our local representative and transferred to your hotel. The crisp mountain air and serene Buddhist chants immediately create a soothing contrast to India’s urban rhythm.
Spend your evening relaxing or taking a gentle walk around Thamel, the bustling tourist district filled with cafés, handicraft shops, and music. Try Nepali momos or dal bhat for a perfect introduction to local flavors. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

After breakfast, begin your Kathmandu tour with visits to its most sacred and historical landmarks. Start at Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), perched on a hilltop with panoramic city views. Then visit Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva, where priests perform daily rituals along the Bagmati River.
In the afternoon, proceed to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest in Asia, surrounded by prayer wheels and colorful Tibetan flags. The hum of chants fills the air, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere. Later, explore Patan Durbar Square, known for its exquisite wood carvings and ancient courtyards. Return to your hotel. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Enjoy another full day in the Kathmandu Valley. Visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a living museum of Newar architecture where narrow brick lanes lead to temples and pottery squares. Witness artisans shaping clay pots by hand — a tradition unchanged for centuries.
In the afternoon, visit Nagarkot, a scenic hill station about 32 km from Kathmandu, famous for its sunset and Himalayan views. On a clear day, you can even spot Mount Everest far on the horizon. Return to Kathmandu in the evening. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

After breakfast, drive or take a short flight to Pokhara, the city of lakes and mountain reflections. The road journey passes terraced farms, green valleys, and charming villages along the Trishuli River. Upon arrival, check in to your lakeside hotel.
Spend your evening along the tranquil Phewa Lake, where colorful boats float against the backdrop of the Annapurna range. The reflection of the snow peaks in the lake’s still waters is breathtaking. Pokhara’s laid-back beauty offers a welcome break in your journey. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

Wake early to drive to Sarangkot Hill for a stunning sunrise over the Annapurna Himalayas. The golden hues on snow-covered peaks create one of the most mesmerizing sights in Nepal. Return for breakfast, then visit Bindhyabasini Temple, Seti Gorge, and Devi’s Fall, where underground streams vanish into natural caves.
Later, visit the World Peace Pagoda, offering panoramic views of Pokhara, Phewa Lake, and the distant Himalayas. Spend your afternoon enjoying a boat ride on Phewa Lake or relaxing in lakeside cafés. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

After breakfast, drive to Chitwan National Park, one of Asia’s best wildlife reserves. The route passes fertile plains, rural farms, and small villages, giving a glimpse of local life in southern Nepal. Upon arrival, check in to your jungle lodge and unwind.
In the evening, attend a Tharu cultural dance performance, where local artists share their traditional music and stories. The forest ambiance, warm bonfire, and natural sounds of the park make the evening special. Overnight stay in Chitwan.

Wake early for a thrilling jungle safari by jeep or elephant. The park is home to one-horned rhinoceroses, Bengal tigers, sloth bears, and hundreds of bird species. The thrill of spotting wildlife in their natural habitat is unforgettable.
After lunch, enjoy a canoe ride along the Rapti River, often giving glimpses of crocodiles basking on the banks. Visit the Elephant Breeding Center and take a short nature walk with trained guides who explain the park’s delicate ecosystem. Overnight stay in Chitwan.

After breakfast, board your short flight back to Kathmandu. Depending on your onward travel, you can either connect to your international flight or stay for last-minute shopping in Thamel.
As your 14-day India and Nepal journey concludes, you carry memories of two nations united by culture, spirituality, and warm hospitality — from the Taj Mahal’s marble grace to the Himalayan sunrise in Pokhara and the forests of Chitwan.

A tour of South India
We are recently back from a fine 10 day tour of South India – Goa, Kochi, the Kerala backwaters, a spice farm in the Western Ghats, the Madurai temples, and last but not least the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai. All done with class, excellent drivers (especially Mr. Jai Ram in Kerala) and tour guides. Organized by Magan Singh, Heritage India Private Tours. Perhaps a bit pricey but highly recommended for those who have the resources to invest in a guaranteed high quality experience with no inconveniences/surprises. The hotels were fantastic, especially the Taj in Mumbai (the tour of the hotel was fascinating).  ...Read More

We are back from another amazing tour organised by the ever reliable Magan Singh. This was our 4th trip with Magan and again he didn't disappoint. This time we had an incredible time travelling north & spending time around Leh. We also enjoyed some travel through Bahu, Dalhousie, Alsisar, Khandela and Patan. Again the hotel stays were excellent, the vehicle was reliable, comfortable and well maintained. Our conversations & learning were excellent. Nothing is too much trouble for Magan and he is a great host & promoter of Indian tourism  ...Read More

Wonderful experience, thank you Heritage India Private Tours!
We have just completed a 19 day trip - Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Pushkar, Udaipur, Narlai, Jodhpur, Mandawa - and it has been a wonderful experience. Magan was excellent helping us plan the right itinerary for a family of 3, including our 12 year old daughter. His communication was always timely. And then the experience itself has been wonderful. So much of the “real India” to learn about and was shared with us. Each destination was well organised, our hotels were beautiful and staff welcoming. Magan was flexible where we needed to alter along the way - we would discuss each days plans and he helped us find the right plans for that day. He was always available if we needed him. We will definitely be returning for another itinerary and experience as soon as we can. Thank you so much Magan!  ...Read More

Magic Magan
This was my first tour with Maganbhai but my family’s second tour with his company. We spent two weeks touring Himachal Pradesh and Maganbhai is a consummate professional. As we started our planning, kicked into action with very detailed and family specific questions so that he could tailor the tour to our individual and collective requirements. Maganbhai made some excellent and knowledgeable recommendations and at every location we were given a choice of quality heritage hotels to pick from. As we were travelling as a group, we were given a top range minibus and our driver, Sahil, was very professional and took great care, especially on mountain roads. During our carefully planned tour Maganbhai shared with us his incredible knowledge of each location and historical significance. At each destination, our hotel / guest in check in was very smooth and quick and our rooms were always ready. Throughout each day, Maganbhai was always available for any requirement we had and also to answer all questions. His priority throughout was to ensure that everyone had a fantastic time. Even after we finished our tour but remained in country Maganbhai generously offered to be available for all family members for any issues we might have. PHT is a top end tour company led by a highly professional tour operator, offering value for money. I wholeheartedly recommend using PHT for Maganbhai to fully cater for your next trip to India.  ...Read More

Cars were brand new, very comfortable and expertly driven by Magan and Fateh. We felt more like valued friends than clients - Magan is passionate to showcase the “Real India”, and entertained us with jokes and stories along the way. Fantastic short trip in North India with group of friends
We had an amazing trip with Heritage India Private Tours, headed by Maghan! We were a group of 8 friends from Belgium going to Rishikesh for the wedding of a mutual friend. We only had 7 days to travel North India before the wedding festivities and Heritage Tours made sure that we could complete our busy itinerary carefree. Our driver Satnayaran was an excellent driver and a funny and helpful guide on our trip. He helped us with restaurant recommendations (the food court in Jaipur!!!), tips to travel safely and to buy local gifts, certainly in his hometown of Jaipur. We visited Jodpur, Pushkar (thank you to our local guide Manoj), Jaipur (with Rajesh Parasar as an excellent guide for the fort and old city center), and the Taj Mahal in Agra with Mohammed Tariq who took the besttttt instagram pictures. Finally, Maghan was available at every hour of the day to answer questions and to give us tips to navigate India.  ...Read More
