Itinerary

Your incredible India journey begins as you arrive in Delhi, a city where centuries of empires have left their mark on architecture, food, and culture. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Take time to rest after your international flight and refresh yourself in the comfort of your hotel room.
If time allows, step out in the evening for a gentle drive past India Gate and Rashtrapati Bhavan, or enjoy a walk around Connaught Place, one of Delhi’s most vibrant commercial areas. The evening in Delhi offers the perfect introduction to the diversity and energy of India. Overnight stay in Delhi.

Start your morning with a wholesome breakfast before heading into the heart of Old Delhi, filled with winding streets, historical charm, and local life. Visit the imposing Jama Masjid, take a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, and see the Red Fort from outside. These areas echo the grandeur of the Mughal Empire and the timeless spirit of the city.
In the afternoon, visit the majestic landmarks of New Delhi, including Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate, and Lotus Temple. Each monument tells a different story of Delhi’s evolution — from ancient dynasties to British colonial design. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Delhi.

After breakfast, begin your drive to Jaipur, the royal capital of Rajasthan known as the Pink City. The drive offers views of Indian countryside, small villages, and the changing landscape of North India. On arrival, check in to your hotel and unwind.
Spend your evening at leisure — you may visit Albert Hall Museum, shop at Johari Bazaar for jewelry, or enjoy local sweets and street food at Bapu Bazaar. The colorful streets of Jaipur set the mood for the royal journey ahead. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Begin your day with a visit to Amber Fort, located on a hilltop overlooking Maota Lake. Its courtyards, intricate mirror work, and royal halls reflect the pride and artistry of Rajput rulers. Take a jeep ride up to the fort and admire the breathtaking view from its ramparts.
Continue to City Palace, still partially home to the royal family, followed by the Jantar Mantar, an astronomical wonder. Stop for photos at Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of Winds. In the evening, attend a folk music and dance performance or dine at a heritage haveli. Overnight stay in Jaipur.

Leave after breakfast for Ranthambore National Park, one of India’s most popular wildlife reserves, famous for its tiger population. The drive takes you through scenic rural landscapes and small Rajasthani villages. On arrival, check in to your wildlife resort and relax.
In the evening, enjoy a nature walk around the resort or spend time listening to local guides share stories of tiger sightings and jungle legends. The sounds of the forest create an entirely different rhythm from city life. Overnight stay in Ranthambore.

Rise before dawn for an exciting jeep safari in Ranthambore National Park. As the mist lifts, you might catch a glimpse of a Royal Bengal Tiger moving through the tall grass or resting near a water body. Other wildlife such as sambar deer, leopards, langurs, and a variety of birds make the park an exciting experience for nature lovers.
Return to your lodge for breakfast and relaxation. In the afternoon, head for another evening safari, this time covering a different zone of the park. The changing light during sunset gives the jungle a magical hue, perfect for photography. Overnight stay in Ranthambore.

After breakfast, drive towards Agra, the city of love and architectural glory. En route, stop at Fatehpur Sikri, the 16th-century Mughal capital built by Emperor Akbar, known for Buland Darwaza, Panch Mahal, and the tomb of Salim Chishti.
Arrive in Agra by evening and check in to your hotel. Later, visit Mehtab Bagh, a peaceful garden across the Yamuna River, offering a spectacular sunset view of the Taj Mahal. The sight of the marble monument glowing in soft orange light is unforgettable. Overnight stay in Agra.

Start early with a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal, where the first rays of sunlight illuminate its marble dome in shades of pink and gold. Return to your hotel for breakfast and some rest.
Later, visit the Agra Fort, a red sandstone marvel that once served as the seat of Mughal power. Explore its grand courtyards and chambers. In the evening, you may visit local marble inlay workshops or markets famous for leather goods and handicrafts. Overnight stay in Agra.

Check out and drive to Orchha, stopping at Gwalior, a city steeped in royal legacy. Visit Gwalior Fort, a massive hilltop structure, and Jai Vilas Palace, which blends European and Indian design.
Continue to Orchha, a serene riverside town known for its medieval charm. After check-in, stroll around Chaturbhuj Temple, Raja Mahal, and the Betwa River ghats. The calm and timeless vibe of Orchha feels like stepping into history. Overnight stay in Orchha.

After breakfast, depart for Khajuraho, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its stunning temples and fine carvings. The drive offers glimpses of rural life and countryside serenity. On arrival, check into your hotel and relax.
In the evening, enjoy the Sound & Light Show near the Western Temple Complex, which narrates the story of the Chandela dynasty and the creation of these magnificent temples. Overnight stay in Khajuraho.

Spend your morning visiting the Western Group of Temples, including Kandariya Mahadeva, Lakshmana Temple, and Devi Jagadambi Temple, known for intricate sculptures depicting divine forms, love, and daily life. Each carving showcases the artistry and imagination of ancient craftsmen.
In the afternoon, visit the Eastern Group of Temples, mainly Jain Temples known for calm surroundings and beautiful architecture. Return to the hotel and relax for the evening. Overnight stay in Khajuraho.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport or railway station for your journey to Varanasi, one of the oldest and holiest cities in the world. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and rest after your journey.
As evening falls, head to the Dashashwamedh Ghat to witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti. The rhythmic chants, ringing bells, and thousands of oil lamps create an unforgettable spiritual atmosphere. Overnight stay in Varanasi.

Before sunrise, take a boat ride on the River Ganges to witness the sacred rituals of devotees offering prayers along the ghats. The sight of the golden morning light reflecting on the water is both serene and powerful.
After breakfast, proceed to Sarnath, where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon after enlightenment. Visit the Dhamek Stupa, Mulagandha Kuti Vihar, and the Sarnath Archaeological Museum. In the afternoon, visit Durga Temple, Bharat Mata Temple, and local markets famous for Banarasi silk sarees. Overnight stay in Varanasi.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight back to Delhi. Depending on your flight timing, short local visits or shopping stops can be arranged.
As your journey concludes, you’ll leave with unforgettable memories of India’s royal palaces, sacred temples, wildlife, and spiritual experiences — a true reflection of Heritage India’s timeless soul.

A tour of South India
We are recently back from a fine 10 day tour of South India – Goa, Kochi, the Kerala backwaters, a spice farm in the Western Ghats, the Madurai temples, and last but not least the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai. All done with class, excellent drivers (especially Mr. Jai Ram in Kerala) and tour guides. Organized by Magan Singh, Heritage India Private Tours. Perhaps a bit pricey but highly recommended for those who have the resources to invest in a guaranteed high quality experience with no inconveniences/surprises. The hotels were fantastic, especially the Taj in Mumbai (the tour of the hotel was fascinating).  ...Read More

Sit back & enjoy- everything is well organised
We are back from another amazing tour organised by the ever reliable Magan Singh. This was our 4th trip with Magan and again he didn't disappoint. This time we had an incredible time travelling north & spending time around Leh. We also enjoyed some travel through Bahu, Dalhousie, Alsisar, Khandela and Patan. Again the hotel stays were excellent, the vehicle was reliable, comfortable and well maintained. Our conversations & learning were excellent. Nothing is too much trouble for Magan and he is a great host & promoter of Indian tourism  ...Read More

Wonderful experience, thank you Heritage India Private Tours!
We have just completed a 19 day trip - Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Pushkar, Udaipur, Narlai, Jodhpur, Mandawa - and it has been a wonderful experience. Magan was excellent helping us plan the right itinerary for a family of 3, including our 12 year old daughter. His communication was always timely. And then the experience itself has been wonderful. So much of the “real India” to learn about and was shared with us. Each destination was well organised, our hotels were beautiful and staff welcoming. Magan was flexible where we needed to alter along the way - we would discuss each days plans and he helped us find the right plans for that day. He was always available if we needed him. We will definitely be returning for another itinerary and experience as soon as we can. Thank you so much Magan!  ...Read More

Magic Magan
This was my first tour with Maganbhai but my family’s second tour with his company. We spent two weeks touring Himachal Pradesh and Maganbhai is a consummate professional. As we started our planning, kicked into action with very detailed and family specific questions so that he could tailor the tour to our individual and collective requirements. Maganbhai made some excellent and knowledgeable recommendations and at every location we were given a choice of quality heritage hotels to pick from. As we were travelling as a group, we were given a top range minibus and our driver, Sahil, was very professional and took great care, especially on mountain roads. During our carefully planned tour Maganbhai shared with us his incredible knowledge of each location and historical significance. At each destination, our hotel / guest in check in was very smooth and quick and our rooms were always ready. Throughout each day, Maganbhai was always available for any requirement we had and also to answer all questions. His priority throughout was to ensure that everyone had a fantastic time. Even after we finished our tour but remained in country Maganbhai generously offered to be available for all family members for any issues we might have. PHT is a top end tour company led by a highly professional tour operator, offering value for money. I wholeheartedly recommend using PHT for Maganbhai to fully cater for your next trip to India.  ...Read More

Fantastic 35 day trip in Rajastan and South India. Magan organised everything- great itinerary, amazing accomodation, excellent guides. Cars were brand new, very comfortable and expertly driven by Magan and Fateh. We felt more like valued friends than clients - Magan is passionate to showcase the “Real India”, and entertained us with jokes and stories along the way. Fantastic short trip in North India with group of friends
We had an amazing trip with Heritage India Private Tours, headed by Maghan! We were a group of 8 friends from Belgium going to Rishikesh for the wedding of a mutual friend. We only had 7 days to travel North India before the wedding festivities and Heritage Tours made sure that we could complete our busy itinerary carefree. Our driver Satnayaran was an excellent driver and a funny and helpful guide on our trip. He helped us with restaurant recommendations (the food court in Jaipur!!!), tips to travel safely and to buy local gifts, certainly in his hometown of Jaipur. We visited Jodpur, Pushkar (thank you to our local guide Manoj), Jaipur (with Rajesh Parasar as an excellent guide for the fort and old city center), and the Taj Mahal in Agra with Mohammed Tariq who took the besttttt instagram pictures. Finally, Maghan was available at every hour of the day to answer questions and to give us tips to navigate India.  ...Read More
